'Don't Worry Darling' aims To surprise, 'Avatar' re-Release on tap

This weekend will see two box office hits for the re-releases of the Olivia Wilde-directed films "Don't Worry Darling" and "Avatar."

Over its opening weekend, Warner Bros. anticipates "Don't Worry Darling" to sell $18 million worth of tickets.

13 years after its first premiere, Disney's "Avatar" (DIS) will be re-released in American cinemas on Friday, just in time for the highly anticipated sequel's December 16 release.

"It could touch $10 million — I wouldn't be shocked if it did," the analyst surmised, adding: "Nobody's going to really complain about that."

"I think 'Avatar' [ticket sales] will be very significant," Robbins said, adding that it would probably rank among the weekend's top three highest-grossing films if Viola Davis played the lead.
