Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Will Have the MCU’s Second-Longest Runtime

According to postings on many movie theatre websites, Ryan Coogler's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" will have a runtime of two hours and 41 minutes,

giving Marvel fans plenty of time to enjoy Wakanda.

The Best Picture-nominated superhero film's sequel will be the second-longest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon,

behind only "Avengers: Endgamethree "'s 3 hours in duration. It is 27 minutes longer than the original "Black Panther"

and five minutes longer than the movie that currently holds the No. 2 position, "Eternals" by Chloe Zhao. TheWrap has contacted Disney for a response.

While some movies, such as "No Time to Die" and "West Side Story," routinely have running times longer than 2.5 hours,

audiences have demonstrated that this does not deter them from purchasing tickets as long as the quality is still excellent.

"Avengers: Endgame" made nearly $2.7 billion at the box office despite having a three-hour duration,

while this past spring's DC movie "The Batman" made $770 million despite having an even longer runtime than "Wakanda Forever" at 176 minutes.
